When I got the call to do this, I was pretty stoked that I was going to be working on a huge mission like this- working with some of the most respected names in the Factory, getting some sweet new upgrades and retrofits, et cetera, et cetera. Arriving at Nibiru VI just made my point clearer.
When we arrived, we were unsure what to do with ourselves. The planet had an... inviting... glow to it.
Gaaf recommended we get back into the dropship and dock in a forest that just so happened to be within a 20-mile radius of the outpost where the drones were rumored to be. So we did just that.
It was approaching dusk when we got to the forest. So, we stayed up pretty late and made plans for tomorrow with Zibelia (via HeroConnect, of course). After that, we headed into the ship's dormitory and switched to dormant mode.
But, a few hours later...
[swish...rustle...rustle...hisssssss.....THUMP!]
"Hey, Crimson, did you hear something?"
