New website!

Hello Hero Factory fans!

As you may know, I (XTN, not Martinus Zibelia) have 2 LEGO blogs currently operating: the one you are on now and StoneHart Hero Factory. I've never really been a fan of operating these two blogs continuously, so effective this month, I have set up a new domain which combines StoneHart Hero Factory and Mission: Drones to create our optimum HF blog! In fact, we wont't be doing just HF, we'll also do some more stories, Bionicle, and even System!

I've set up the shortcut domain www.stonehart-lego.blogspot.com to take you to the main page.

To be clear, ALL posts from www.stonehart-mocs.blogspot.com and www.mission-drones.blogspot.com have been copied to the new domain www.stonehart-lego.blogspot.com and all future LEGO-related posts will be made there and only there.

Go check out the new stuff and spread the word!

Chapter 2, part II: Arrival

[From Slasher's log]

When I got the call to do this, I was pretty stoked that I was going to be working on a huge mission like this- working with some of the most respected names in the Factory, getting some sweet new upgrades and retrofits, et cetera, et cetera. Arriving at Nibiru VI just made my point clearer.

When we arrived, we were unsure what to do with ourselves. The planet had an... inviting... glow to it.

Gaaf recommended we get back into the dropship and dock in a forest that just so happened to be within a 20-mile radius of the outpost where the drones were rumored to be. So we did just that.

It was approaching dusk when we got to the forest. So, we stayed up pretty late and made plans for tomorrow with Zibelia (via HeroConnect, of course). After that, we headed into the ship's dormitory and switched to dormant mode.

But, a few hours later...

[swish...rustle...rustle...hisssssss.....THUMP!]

"Hey, Crimson, did you hear something?"

Chapter 2, Part I: The journey

[From Bos' log]

We got the call- a drone army is infiltrating one of our remote stations. We were awaiting a call from Zibelia letting us know that he found the station on our radar.

The cockpit's transmission screen lit up a few minutes later:

[Message from Martinus Zibelia, MMg]

The station has been traced via a security breach at the remote station at Nibiru VI in the Kalax system. The trip should take between 10 and 12 Tranquilian hours.

[end message]

(By the way, that's about a day in your Earth hours.)

The entire ADJ was lodged with me in a team-sized dropship. I was assigned to the navigation station, helping Rhey stay on course via a few peripheral screens and an eSextant. We did hit a few intermittent rocky spots (like an asteroid belt, and, oh yes, nearly driving straight into a neutron star), but the trip was mainly smooth.

We arrived at Nibiru earlier than we expected. The planet had a very mixed climate, similar to your Earth. There was water, ice, forests, deserts, and marshes, but the majority of the planet was sandy and beachlike.

Temperature at arrival: 300 Kelvin (80 degrees Fahrenheit)
Climate: Somewhat dry

A short note about Mission: Drones!

To all who view this story and have been anxiously awaiting the next entry, I am here to bring you news. Unfortunately, I have been busy managing other teams and writing about their endeavours and have not had enough time to commit to putting the story of the ADJ out there.

Rest assured, this is not the end. I've just been busy, and I PROMISE you that Bos' blog entry will come very soon. He has some interesting knowledge to give us, and I'm sure you'll enjoy reading it.

I've set a date on my Internet calendar here at the Factory and on that date, I will be reminded to put out the next few chapters of Mission: Drones!.

Again, this isn't the end.
